Special mention is involvement with TATA STEEL for their modernization projects. Founder member of the Indo German Chamber of Commerce, member of the German Business Group in Madras, Guest Professor for the Anna University in areas of Management through GTZ, Director in the Advisory Board of WTC GmbH, Germany. Regularly deliver lectures on technical topics at various Universities & Institutions. Invited as guest speaker at Rotary Clubs. Have written several articles in technical journals including publishing of a book in German language co-authored along with a swiss industrialist. Received recognition award from the East Asia Club, Bremen, Germany (as the first Indian to be recognized) and as Consultant and Adviser for technical evaluation of Projects for two large German Banks- Nord-LB, and Bremer Landesbank. Have lived for nearly three decades in Europe, primarily Germany, Switzerland and United Kingdoms. Presently, settled in Madras, India. Experience in setting up of Projects in Africa - Tanzania, Egypt and similarly in East Europe - Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.

Sanjay has 15 year experience of business development and fund-raising experience. He has been instrumental in acquisition of a 30-year old GBP 25 million logistics company (for free!) and turning it around. Earlier as Founder Managing Director of Saksham Group of Companies, he had incubated one of the largest financial product distribution companies in India; turnaround a distressed securities broking business; advised the largest manufacturer of paper packaging in India; and raised over USD 25 million of private equity funding for diverse enterprises from telecom to automotives. He is Advisor (Strategic Initiatives) to FISME, the largest Federation of Indian Small & Medium Enterprises in India. He has been Member of the National Advisory Committee on “Competitiveness of India’s SME sector”. He has been member of UNCTAD, Trade and Development Board, Expert Committee on SMEs, and has presented paper on ‘E-Finance for Improving SME Competitiveness’ at UNITED NATIONS. His key recommendations have been adopted in policy recommendations of United Nations/World Bank. Prior to it, Sanjay had set-up capital market ventures for SRFF/GE Capital, and helped it in two rounds of fund-raising. He began his career with Elite Stock Management, where he launched one of the first retail portfolio management schemes in India.Education

Sanjay has done pioneering research exploring the reasons for the superior performance of financial investors vis-à-vis industry players in case of corporate distress. He is a regular speaker at various business schools and professional meets on a variety of topics such as venture capital, valuation, private equity, deal structuring, corporate turnaround, etc. Sanjay loves walking around in the woods, yoga and philosophy.

Usha Venkatachalam has over 20 years experience in teaching Business
Communication. She has designed and delivered training programs
in Management Skills and Business English as part of the British
Council Business Communication Unit in report writing skills, business
writing skills, cross-cultural communication, presentation skills
and leadership skills. In addition, she is a faculty member at the
Indian School of Business in Hyderabad for Business Writing Skills
and the Leadership Development Programme, and a visiting faculty
at several Business Schools in Mumbai. She has provided training
at junior, middle and senior management levels, to numerous multinational
companies and banks in Malaysia, Australia and India including HSBC,
Jebatan Perdana Menteri Malaysian Government' Industrial and High
Technology Committee, Standard Chartered, AIA Malaysia, DSP Merill
Lynch, WIPRO, Hindustan Lever, TCS, etc.
She is also a Cambridge accredited Teacher Trainer for the Cambridge
Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA). As full-time
CELTA Trainer at International House Sydney, Australia, she has
trained native speakers of English from Australia, New Zealand,
UK, USA and Canada for the Cambridge CELTA which is one of the most
widely recognized English Language Teaching qualifications. She
is an examiner with Cambridge ESOL for several international English
examinations .

Savita
Sreekanth, Consultant

Savita Sreekanth has experience working as an Internal Consultant
and Business Analyst for Citibank N.A. in their Capital Markets
and Cash Management Operations and as a Senior Financial Analyst
for the Dupont Company. She has worked on projects ranging from
outsourcing analysis, creation of models to hedge products, buy-lease
analysis, creation and implementation of productivity measures
to load balancing of resources using optimization techniques. Savita
has also worked extensively with Customer Service recommending
methods to improve customer and employee retention and in the creation
of training materials for customer service
representatives.
Savita also served as the editor of the monthly
newsletter in Citibank Delaware. Savita’s expertise is in
- the indepth analysis and streamlining of processes to captureefficiencies
- using change management techniques to obtain “buy-in” and initiating process oriented thinking in business units for quick implementation.
After getting an undergraduate degree in engineering (Ship Design
and Construction) from the Cochin University of Science and Technology,
India, Savita went on to get a Masters degree in Engineering from
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a Masters in Business Administration
from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Savita has completed
the “Sales
and Trading” course at Citibank and understands the pricing
of complex financial derivatives.
